Not many students in Cambodia make it to high school; very few see high school graduation; and less than 1% have access to higher education. The few who succeed with a high school diploma struggle to find jobs. In PoiPet, most jobs are found in one of the many casinos lining the dusty border. Working in that environment puts young students in great risk of trafficking, exploitation and systemic poverty. Though many deeply long to continue in higher education, most never see their dreams become reality.
