DANTE & KIERA BACA
Dante and Kiera developed a desire for serving the Lord overseas while still in high school. Kiera took her first short-term mission trip with LBI in 2011, followed by Dante in 2012. These experiences powerfully convicted them and called them to longer term ministry in Cambodia.
In 2022, they relocated to Cambodia, where they served for nearly three years. Kiera built up the health and hygiene pillar, developing a health education curriculum in the schools, leading pop up health clinics with a local doctor in impoverished communities, and connecting individuals to medical care. Meanwhile, Dante partnered with Khmer staff to launch a team of child advocates who worked to rescue children living or begging on the streets—helping them find safer living situations, enroll in school, and, when necessary, access rehabilitation programs.
Training capable Khmer staff to lead ministries on the ground, Dante and Kiera returned to the United States. They now serve part-time with LBI advising, handling accounting, fundraising, & leading jointly with their Khmer staff to support the ongoing work they helped establish in Cambodia.
